Books

In 2006, I penned the story of Australian woman, Libby Southwell, and our collaboration touched a nerve with Australian readers, making BookScan’s ‘Top Seller’ book list in that year. Publishers Murdoch Books also sold the publishing rights to Hungary, Korea and the United Kingdom. Anyone read it in Korean? Writing this book was a joy, as I was based in Sri Lanka, where much of the book’s action takes place, and visited Nepal, which is where the story takes readers. Collaborating with adventuress Libby Southwell made us dear, close friends for life, and we have a Sydney Morning Herald best-seller cutting, and many media cuttings, to show for it.

img_article2Australian social researcher Michael McQueen asked me to edit his 95,000-word non-fiction business book about survival in a cyberworld, and what a pleasure that was! With tons of compelling content about business across the entire spectrum, McQueen’s book is packed with ideas for staying relevant to your customers.

As for me, I polished, I tweaked, I made copy digestible, and I ensured copy came to life. After all, my job is professional copy writing! This was one of my favourite assignments, and I highly recommend you read the book, published May 2013.

author_article2Josephine was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is a thorough, reliable and gifted editor who brings a fresh eye and skill-set every writer needs to make their work ‘sing’. I highly recommend her craftmanship.

monsoon amazonJosephine is also the author of a non-fiction best-seller, Monsoon Rains and Icicle Drops (Murdoch Books, 2006) which she wrote over three months on location in Sri Lanka where the subject of her book, Libby Southwell, was then living.

A true story of love, loss and great courage, the book struck a nerve with thousands of Australians who bought sufficient copies to make the book one of Australia’s top sellers that year.  Visit Amazon or Book Depository for a copy!

“Inspiring!” was how Holy Cow! author Sarah Macdonald found this read, agreeing to endorse the book on its cover.
